Pinch me, I must be dreaming!
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice may be two long, agonizing years away from us now but gosh darn it I just can't help getting excited for this movie. The newly released photographs at 2014's SDCC (San Diego Comic-Con) have me jumping out of my seat in an eager mix of apprehension and joy.
In honor of Batman's 75th anniversary that took place on July 23rd, 2014; Comic-Con opened a Batman exhibit showcasing all of the cowl and mask styles of the previous Batmen to come before our new Knight now coined as Batfleck. They were sure to include the next Caped Crusader's Bat-Cowl, giving us a simple but tasty tease:
The design looks more rough and tumble, giving us an edgier look at the masked vigilante. His eyebrows squint in an almost angry scowl showing us that he is now war-worn and a bit more serious in his aging years. The opening mouthpiece appears a lot more sinister and almost sarcastic, sweeping away all playful demeanor we may have seen in the character before. I'm thinking that we're in for a much more serious and short fused Batman come 2016's [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870).
Even Jim Lee and Dan DiDio (Co-Publishers of DC Entertainment/Comics) shared their thoughts on the new cowl stating:
"It's got this boxer's physique to it, which suggests that Batman's more of a brawler than he's been before."
