Guillermo del Toro shared a first look at footage from Crimson Peak today at SDCC. Starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain, it is a romantic, gothic story made specifically for a female lead with del Toro saying, "I wanted to tackle a great adult story for a female lead. Let us see her live past getting the guy. F*ck that sh*t. Let us see her become her own person."

Afterwards, he got the crowd excited by asking them if they would like to see a Hellboy 3 and his take on the H.P. Lovecraft story At The Mountains Of Madness. Of course this question was met with screams of support.

Hellboy 3 will be left in question until after Legendary's Thomas Tull sees the financial results of the upcoming Pacific Rim 2. As for At The Mountains Of Madness, del Toro was close to production and had Tom Cruise ready to star, but he refused to budge on the possibility of it being an R rated film.

Here's to hoping that an R rating is something that can be agreed upon and the success of Pacific Rim 2 opening doors for Hellboy 3.
