Aloha! So San Diego Comic Con is probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, event for superhero movie news as well as other film news. However, A LOT of people like going to it, obviously, and tickets are impossible to get. So if you're one of the losers, uh I mean, poor unfortunate people that couldn't go this year, I thought I'd give a quick recap to all the superhero-related Comic Con stuff that came out (which is really just Batman vs Superman and Age of Ultron).
Batman vs Superman: First of all, we got our first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman:
I have to say it looks pretty good, and Gal Gadot looks the part as well. The costume is very accurate to the comics; it has all the aspects from the outfit that you would want, from the tiara to the wrist bracelet thingys (isn't my English fantastic?), and gives it a kind of warrior spin on it. I just wish the red and blue were brought out a bit more, but maybe it's just the picture.
We also were brought a mini trailer for the movie, which showed Batman, in a very Dark Knight Returns resembling armored suit, turning on the Bat Signal. Superman gets highlighted in the beam of light, and his eyes glow red. And then the logo pops up.
So pretty short, but enough to get people excited. I'm more excited for the movie than I was before, but they still have to win me over from some of the other stuff they've done *cough* Jesse Eisenberg *cough*.
Avengers: Age of Ultron: We finally got some footage of the movie! It showed all the Avengers kind of chilling in the Avengers tower. They're all trying to lift Thor's hammer, and none of them move it except Cap, who kind of budges it a little. Then Ultron walks in in some form of Iron Man armor and gives some sort of villainy monologue about destroying humans in his Ultron kind of manner. Then we get a bunch of images of the following stuff (in the order they appear):
More Iron Man armor
The twins (Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver) using their powers
Black Widow trying to calm down the Hulk
Hulk fighting the Hulk-Buster armor
A good look at Ultron
Captain America's broken shield
All the Avengers defeated except Tony Stark
Misc: Josh Brolin is officially Thanos (even though we already knew that), Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is coming July 28 2017 (so A: That's one of my predictions about the future of Marvel wrong, if you want to see the rest here’s the link: [ https://moviepilot.com/posts/2014/07/19/marvel-announces-new-release-dates-for-black-panther-ms-marvel-and-black-widow-2101612?lt_source=external,manual#!bn5VlL ], and B: I'm sure the film will be amazing but it's a little arrogant to announce a sequel before the first one has even come out), and Evangeline Lilly will be playing the Wasp in Ant-Man, and Corey Stoll will be playing the villain, Yellowjacket.
So that's all I've got for right now; hope this was educational! And to give credit where credit is due, I got this information from Mr. Sunday Movies on youtube (fantastic channel, you NEED to check him out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkDSAQ_5-yx5hmuvUcsJL7A ).
