As you may, or may not, know, Legendary Pictures revealed at SDCC 2014 that Skull Island, a new feature from writer Max Borenstein (Godzilla), based on the origins of King Kong is scheduled to arrive in theaters November 4, 2016. It has been said that the directing duties of Skull Island have been offered to Joe Cornish.

Joe Cornish is the man who brought us Attack The Block, a truly fun and original alien invasion film. After the breakout success of Attack The Block, Cornish has been offered many jobs and has not yet confirmed taking on [Skull Island](movie:1139115), but it certainly seems right up his alley. An island inhabited by giant, exotic creatures? Few directors would be more suited for such a task.

What do YOU think of this news? Who do YOU think should direct [Skull Island](movie:1139115)?
