"The Death of Captain America" is an eighteen-issue Captain America story arc written by Ed Brubaker with art by Steve Epting and published by Marvel Comics.

The first issue in this 'arc' was the pivotal Captain America number 25 which caused reverberations throughout the entire marvel universe and left a gap in the avengers hearts.

In the popular comics when the Cap is finally defeated his old friend we all know and love/hate Bucky returns to take up his shield and continue in Rogers' name. The main support for this is that in a recent interview with Sebastian Stan he revealed that he was infact set for a 9 movie contract, where as Chris Evans has only been set a 6.

But will he really die? The thing is, Marvel could really do it, The whole marvel world is really begging to slot together like more of an entire series and just like the first avengers movie, the death of a comrade could be what pulls the avengers even closer together. So could this be the story for [Captain America 3](movie:994409)?

But hang on a sec, Agent Coulson was brought back to life, by shield after the movie because of his popularity with fans and I am not one to put it past them to find a way to get either the Cap or Evans back into the world!

What do you think will happen? Will they kill the Cap?
