Fans of the popular franchise TMNT are yet again mad at producer Micheal Bay, this time for his badly thought out promotional poster for the new AUS release date.

The poster shows the turtles Jumping from an exploding building that at first glance means nothing more than that this movie is sure to be action packed as hell, but upon closer inspection we realise the worst bit.

The film is set to be out on the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and with the images depicted in the poster it is clearly a step too far. Paramount soon sent the following message/statement out;

”We are deeply sorry to have used that artwork for the marketing materials promoting the September 11 opening in Australia. Combining that image and date was a mistake. We intended no offense and have taken immediate action to discontinue its use."

But what do you think? Was this an attempt at being controversial or just bad timing and lack of thought? After all, the building is clearly not the trade centre and there are ninja mutant turtles flying away from it!

Is this poster offensive or just plain stupid?
