Hey y'all!!! As you have probably figured out by now, the first official trailer for [The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1](movie:446261) has hit the web!!! It is part one of the epic finale to the Hunger Games trilogy and I am sure that fans will be blown away when the film hits theaters on November 21st. I know I will.

Now looking at the trailer here, it takes the whole franchise of The Hunger Games into a whole different direction.

I think it has turned the tide from The hunger Games 3 being a competition (fight to the death) movie which was what the first two films were to an all out war/rebellion type of film. A very big aspect in these films was the Capitol being bureaucratic and ruthless under the leadership of President Snow (Donald Sutherland), which means that the series' biggest impact was for the politics that were described in the whole series. I feel like we are in for a ride as viewers (and for those of us who read the books, we already know what it's like) to see which direction Mockingjay Part 1 will take us in this all-out war/rebellion scenario.

Now we caught a glimpse of Plutarch Heavensbee (the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman) and President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) with Beetee Laiter (Jeffrey Wright) discussing Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and their attempts to use her as their Mockingjay for the Rebellion in District 13. According to Coin, Katniss may not be able to handle the appropriate measure of being a leader for the Rebellion. However, Plutarch trusts Katniss and thinks that she is capable of doing it. Later on, we find that President Snow (Donald Sutherland) wants to not only eliminate the Mockingjay, but the symbol itself.

After that, we cut to a group of villagers in District 13 who see Katniss walking down to say that she is their symbol of hope against the tyranny of the dictatorial Capitol. One villager asks 'Katniss, are you here to fight with us?' And she says 'I am.' After that, it cuts to the title card which consists of the Mockingjay symbol which you may remember from the end of Hunger Games Catching Fire when the Mockingjay symbol resembled it's respective books in three different forms.

So that is my recap for the first trailer for the much anticipated Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. So have you seen the trailer? What did you think? Do you like how the movie will turn out? Let me know down below.
