Bad news for fans of the Mad Titan - from the sounds of it, Thanos might not be appearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Many had assumed that his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy would, in part, be a precursor to him showing up once again in the next Avengers movie - with his role in the background of the Marvel Cinematic Universe once again being brought to the fore.

Kevin Feige, though, has other ideas. Speaking to /Film, he revealed that:

"He’s not a part of Avengers 2. I think Thanos does what he wants, and shows up where he wants to, and I’m not going to tell him otherwise. You don’t know exactly; smirking at the end of Avengers."

Thankfully, though, there is still hope, as Feige went on to add:

"By the way, we’re still making Avengers 2, so nothing’s definitive one way or the other, actually."

So, it's not impossible - but from the sounds of it, he's certainly not an integral part of the plot.

Are you guys thinking what i'm thinking?

Pretty much the same post-credits sting as last time around?

[The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) is set for release May 1, 2015. With or without Thanos...

What do you guys think? Will we see Thanos in Avengers: Age of Ultron?
