So we've known for a while now that JJ Abrams has picked up the helm for the new Star Wars: Episode VII. Though it had not been made clear if he would be directing all three, or just one.
We now know that Gareth Edwards, director of Godzilla, is supposedly going to direct Episode IIX (8) after Abrams is done with Episode VII (7). That again poses the question, does Edwards just want to test the reigns like Abrams did, or will he direct the last two, or will Abrams pick it up again for the third one?
Well, here is a theory that has been briefly lit already:
Will Zack Snyder, director of Man of Steel as well as the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, direct Star Wars: Episode IX?
Here's the "proof" provided that led me to believing this:
Now the first one, Henry Cavill in the Revenge of the Sith Anakin outfit, was Snyder main actor for his upcoming DC films. The second one, a Batman figure next to an R2-D2 figure, is less direct.
These are discreet hints, but with all the action, flying, explosions, and seiner-shaped things, could Zack Snyder be directing Episode 9?
Will Snyder direct Episode 9?
Thanks for the feedback on this theory! -Sam
