After seeing Guardians of the Galaxy, I am very excited for the sequel, and curious to know how they will bring the Guardians into The Avengers. And that's where you guys come in.

Since I am not the words best comic book fan, nor am I a huge fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; but I still go see them because Marvel has surprised me before, especially recently. I thought Captain America: The Winter Solider was the greatest Marvel movie to date. Hate on me if you will, but I thought it kicked The Avengers ass. I thought the film was good, but it was missing something for me. Maybe it was because Loki was the main villain? I LOVE Loki too, I just thought for the first movie it just needed something else. I'm sure The Avengers: Age of Ultron will completely stomp all over its predecessor. But now, Marvel has really stepped up to the plate in my opinion with Guardians of the Galaxy. I was very skeptical about this film, because I mean lets face it, a talking raccoon, and a talking, walking, tree couldn't possibly be anything but for kids. But it was the exact opposite, read my review on Guardians for more. Click here.

Lets get down to why I need you guys. Well, like I said, I'm not the most hardcore Marvel comics fan. I need you guys to give me some insight into the future for Guardians, and the crossover with The Avengers.

WARNING: SPOILERS! If you haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet and don't want any spoilers....back out now!

My first thought after seeing Guardians was...there was so much hype about Thanos being in the film, but he was only ACTUALLY in one scene, besides that he is more like Zordon from Might Morphin Power Rangers. So why was Thanos hardly in it? Well, that ones obvious; they were establishing that Thanos is very much around and in full swing within the Guardians universe so they can make him the main villain in Guardians 2, or in the Avengers 3. But we will get to the Avengers 3 a little later. Guardians 2, lets make some predictions, after the Guardians defeat Ronan, they are on Peter/Star Lord's ship, there is a quick dialogue between Gamora and Drax. Gamora says, "Your wife and daughter will rest easy now that they have been avenged.", and Drax replies (excuse me if the quote isn't verbatim), "Ronan was only a puppet, Thanos is who I really want". Is this hinting that in Guardians 2, Drax will do something ridiculous...again and start the battle against Thanos? Probably not for Guardians 2. I think they will leave Thanos in the background for Guardians 2, show him a little more than they did, but let him build as a villain for the audience, until the very end. Think about it, do you think the Guardians alone could take on one of the most deadly, badass villains in the universe? Hell no. Don't you think they will need a little help from...oh...a little team of superheroes on Earth? Yes, I think it would be the perfect way to crossover between Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers. They are bound to do it, and it would be the best way to do it. Let's set up some predictions real quick for Guardians 2 and the Avengers/Guardians crossover (remember, this is a prediction. I have no idea what will happen). Guardians 2: After defeating Ronan, the Guardians are out in space, living it up. Probably fighting off mediocre villains on distant planets. Peter, still trying to avoid Yondu after he figures out Peter switched the infinity stone. We will probably meet some new members of the team either from the start or during the film. Did anyone else notice that Nebula survived? Just with one less hand? I'm sure she will be making another appearance, which could lead into how they will bring Thanos in at the end of the film. Remember, Drax is still after Thanos for killing his wife and daughter. I think Drax will find out his daughter is still alive, but has become a "daughter" of Thanos. What wasn't explained yet, but I'm sure will be. Drax's daughter was kidnapped by Ronan, (after Ronan killed Drax's wife) and brought to Thanos. The Guardians go after Thanos and by the end of the film there will be a cliff hanger of sorts with Thanos preparing to invade Earth maybe? Or maybe the Guardians fail to kill Thanos and hide out on Earth. Which leads us into the Guardians/Avengers crossover, AKA The Avengers 3. After the events in Guardians 2; Drax, still after Thanos finally gets his chance to fully avenge his wife death and his daughter's enslavement to Thanos. The Guardians fail to kill Thanos, and retreat to Earth. The Avengers, after the events of Age of Ultron, are out and about on Earth doing their thing. Both teams probably won't meet until around the end of the 1st act. Thanos will find out where the Guardians are, and proceed to invade Earth to kill them. Depending on if Ultron is alive or not at the end of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, he could be teaming up with Thanos against the two teams. If so, that will be one hell of a thrill ride.

That's just one possibility to what could happen in the near future for Guardians. I would love to read what you guys think, and your predictions as well. Especially from hardcore comic book fans! Leave your comments below!

Do you think Guardians/Avengers crossover will happen sooner than we think?
