Tolkien fans, gather round. The long-awaited extended edition of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is now available to pre-order in Blu-Ray, 3D and HD.

The editions range from $25 for the Blu-Ray set, around $40 for 3D and up to $70 if you want your copy to come with a unique Weta Workshop figurine (which, let's face it, is pretty darn cool). The release date is set for November 4th.

The second instalment in the Hobbit trilogy stars Martin Freeman as the titular Hobbit, Richard Armitage and much of the original Lord of the Rings cast, including Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly.

It follows Bilbo Baggins as he quests to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch), leading him into some predictably hairy situations.

And if you missed it, catch up on this exclusive clip from the extended edition, where Bilbo and the dwarves find themselves under the influence of some enchanted waters.
