In 2011 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' was released and became a surprise hit, taking over $135 million worldwide, and now a trailer has been released for 'The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel'.
Continuing the story of a group of British retirees living in India, all of the original cast returns except for Tom Wilkinson, following the events of the first movie and now adds Richard Gere to an already stellar cast of actors.
Director John Madden insists that he hates the film being called a sequel:
"I've always insisted on 'companion piece.' I think 'sequel' smacks of, 'Hey, we made a good one, it worked, let's do another one.' It certainly isn't the same movie again. We were very aware of wanting the experience to be completely fresh. If somebody simply walked into this film knowing nothing about the first, they would be just fine."
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel opens in UK cinemas 27th February 2015 and in US cinemas on the 6th of March.
