It was a long wait, but when it finally came, most fans were pleased with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman costume.
Released at San Diego Comic Con International 2014, the image showed [Wonder Woman](movie:45787) in battle costume wielding a sword surrounded by fire and lava.
Some fans complained about the color scheme of the picture, but, as with the reveal of the first image on Ben Affleck's Batman, the filter for the photo was probably mainly responsible for the muted tones, and the color scheme of the costume may look quite different in the actual movie
As soon as fans are given one piece of information, however, they want another, and with the costume out of the way, speculation has inevitably turned to what exact role Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman would play in [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870)?
Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman: What Will Happen?
One thing that looks certain in Batman vs Superman is that it will follow the example of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns in having a significantly older Batman than we have seen before.
He is expected to be about 50 years old, and, after years of lying low, the rumor is that Batman will be considered by most people no more than an urban myth.
And while [Wonder Woman](movie:45787) won't have the same problems of looking old that Batman does (she may or may not be immortal, but she certainly doesn't age at the same rate as a regular human being), she will also have been in operation for some time when the events of Batman vs Superman take place.

Gal Gadot Works for LexCorp?
So if Batman vs Superman does not feature a Wonder Woman origins story, what part will she play in the plot?
Some months ago, several pictures of a LexCorp building were leaked online, sparking speculation that Jessie Eisenberg's Lex Luthor would be heading a large corporation with a Facebook-like campus.
Wonder Woman's secret identity is Diana Prince, and the rumors were that she might be working for Lex Luthor in some capacity, though whether because she believed in him or as some sort of double agent was not specified. Also, this role could see Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman come into conflict with Amy Adams' Lois Lane, also thought to be investigating LexCorp.
All this is only speculation, however. One thing we do know for certain is that Gal Gadot is signed up for at least 2 more movies, following Batman vs Superman. These are almost certainly going to be a [Justice League](movie:401267) movie, and a Wonder Woman stand alone film.
Rumors that [Aquaman](movie:264237) might be joining Wonder Woman, either in Batman vs Superman or Justice League, were further intensified when Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa both put pictures of themselves rock climbing on what could have easily been the same indoor wall, within a matter of days.
So what do you think? Will we see Diana Prince working for Lex Luthor? Do you think Lois lane and Diana Prince will come into conflict with each other? Write in to answer these and to raise any other questions you might have below the line!
