Warning, potential SPOILERS for X-Men: Days of Future Past and Westworld below...
Considering the recently announced cast-members joining HBO's upcoming adaptation of legendary sci-fi movie Westworld, it's not like the J.J. Abrams-produced show really needed any more acting talent added to it. After all, Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright and Rodrigo Santoro are already bringing more acting chops and star-wattage than most small-screen shows ever see.
Now, though, HBO've only gone and grabbed one of the stars of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and thrust him into what could be one of the most excited television projects in years.
That's right - James Marsden is coming back to TV - and though sadly he'll no longer be dating Liz Lemon, that is definitely a good thing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter:
"Marsden will play Teddy Flood, a mysterious new arrival to a small frontier town. He quickly proves both his charm — and his talent with a revolver. His pursuit of a local beauty launches him on a dark odyssey."
Which, considering the series is inspired by the trippily brilliant 1973 Michael Crichton film, means that there's a decent chance he's playing a robot.
Which is awesome.
The show has also added American Gangster's Eddie Rouse, perennial sitcom-canceller Kyle Bornheimer and Justified's Demetrius Grosse, as well as Currie Graham, Lena Georgas and Timothy Lee DePriest.
And Steven Ogg.
Who played Trevor Phillips in GTA V.
Which means we might get to see Trevor Phillips go on a robotic killing spree.
Honestly, [Westworld](series:1099794) really can't arrive soon enough.
What do you guys think? Excited for Westworld?
