5. Freaks (1932) Ending
The film for me, didn't really get into the horror aspect until the end. A great movie with a great ending. The reason this made my list is because it's a type of situation where someone gets what they deserve.
The end has Cleopatra and Hercules planning to steal Hans' inheritance and running away with it. The circus performers over hear and plan an attack on the couple. To sum it all up, the performers turn Cleopatra into a "human duck" in a very disturbing last image of the film.
4. Halloween 2 (2009) Nurse Daniels
Although this film was not your classic "Halloween" film, and it pretty much butchered the story, the kill scenes in this film are brutal. One of the positive things about this movie are the death scenes because Zombie takes them to the extreme. This certain kill of Nurse Daniels comes to mind. Michael just doesn't stop. Right as she begins to crawl and get away, Michael just keeps on attacking her until she stops moving. It's very disturbing, but powerful and really shows Michael's power and saneness.
3. American Psycho (2000) Chainsaw Drop
This is one of my favorite films of all time; why? because it's Christian Bale in a thriller/horror film what's not to love? One scene in this film that really stood out to me was the scene where Christian Bale chases one of his hookers with a chainsaw. This is really just another brutal scene where he is all bloody and naked running through the hall. It's a great way to show the 'psycho' in him and who he really is.
2. Friday the 13th (1980) Kevin Bacon
All of the deaths in this film are pretty brutal but the one that got me was Kevin Bacon's. The effects in this scene are awesome and performed perfectly. Shoving a sharp blade through someone's neck realistically is pretty difficult. This scene always makes me think, "How'd they do that?".
1. The Devil's Rejects (2005) Housekeeping
"TDR" is one of my all time favorite films. The Firefly family is just brutal and won't stop at anything to get what they want. The reason I picked this as my top scene is because this tactic is used in both films, "The Devils Rejects" and "House of 1000 Corpses". In this particular scene, one of the maids finds two dead bodies in the bath tub. She then sees a woman hanging from a door, wearing a mask made of human flesh. The woman hanging is still alive and just wants help but can't say much due to the mask. She jumps off the hanger and chases the maid in need for help. Since she has the mask on she can't really see where she's going so she ends up getting hit by a truck.
