We're one quarter way through the year and we've seen some really great films. From the impeccable blockbusters: Guardians of The Galaxy & Godzilla to the absolutely gut-wrenching comedies: 22 Jump Street & Bad Neighbors and interesting indie's such as: Chef and Bad Words. It's safe to say we've had a nice year for movies thus far that have grossed quite well domestically. Well, this article is to assure you we haven't seen the last of the good: indie's, block-busters, comedies or just quality movies for that matter. Here's a list of some movies yet to come out that give me and other movie lovers some excitement for the rest of the year.
The Big Block-Buster - Hunger Games: Mockingjay
This movie has quite the buzz around and we are uncertain if it will fulfill fans/critic's hopes. What we do know is that this movie is certain to make bucket loads of cash. This franchise has been known to smash records and create new ones. The size of the fanbase is humongous. I personally will be seeing this one as I'm a fan of the movies and I'm curious to see what Katniss has in store for herself. I'm sure this will be the biggest money maker of the franchise.
The Laugh Out Loud Comedy - The Interview
This comedy is one sure to provoke many reactions. The plot is extremely controversial and really sees Franco and Rogen push the boundaries of their humor. The trailer is out and it looks insane. An action comedy with a wide scope. I think this will be a funny movie, not as funny as 22 Jump Street or Bad Neighbors, but close enough to be remembered.
The Fans Favorite - Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies
The final installment of Peter Jackson's worshiped franchise in Middle-Earth. We see Smaug destroy towns and armies beginning a huge fight in the busy trailer released recently. It looks visually stunning and a great cinematic experience. It is due in December and looks to be worth the wait. Lord of The Rings fans will be queuing up quick for this one.
The Critics Favorite - Fury
Army action movie starring Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman and Scott Eastwood. These soldiers are behind enemy lines, out-numbered and out-gunned. Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. This really seems like the type of movie critics crawl to and possibly even potential Oscar nod. I look forward to this one.
My Favorite - Interstellar
I know that when I say my favorite I also account for half the people reading this. Anotherwards, this movie is a big deal. It has a huge deal of hype and can be regarded as the most anticipated film of this year. Chris Nolan directs in this space sci-fi starring the wonderful Matthew McConaughey. The visuals will be fantastic, story looks good and I presume it will be the best film of 2014. In theaters November 22nd. Mark your calenders.
