The Hollywood Reporter:

Sources say the DC movies will include Justice League, Wonder Woman, Shazam with Dwayne Johnson and Aquaman.

Well then, that's pretty exciting! The Hollywood Reporter said this in a very recent article and they are usually reliable. Prior to this we were given a peek at DC's plans for 9 more films! We are unsure if the "WB Event Films" are DC or not, but I really hope they are DC.

• “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” — March 25, 2016

• Untitled DC Film – August 5, 2016

• Untitled DC Film – June 23, 2017

• Untitled DC Film – November 17, 2017

• Untitled DC Film – March 23, 2018

• Untitled DC Film – July 27, 2018

• Untitled DC Film – April 5, 2019

• Untitled DC Film – June 14, 2019

• Untitled DC Film – April 3, 2020

• Untitled DC Film – June 19, 2020

Should we care? Totally! DC's taking some risks!

He's friggin' Aquaman! Confirmed/rumored to be played by Jason Momoa. The King of Atlantis will surface to theaters and show everyone just how awesome he really is.

Predicted Release Date: March 23, 2018

YOUR anticipation level for Aquaman (x/10):

[Wonder Woman](movie:45787) will make her cinematic debut! She is coming with an awesome costume! Whether you like Gal Gadot or not, don't judge her acting or appearance until you've at least watched Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. WAIT AND SEE GAL GADOT AS WONDER WOMAN.

Wonder Woman is what DC thinks they're trying to get right. They explicitly said that they want the script that works. After Nikki Finke allegedly leaked Warner Brothers' plans, CEO Kevin Tsujihara was asked why there aren't any DC super heroine movies. His response translates into "We know and we have a project we're not ready to announce." Which we have to assume is Wonder Woman.

Predicted Release Date: July 27, 2018

YOUR anticipation level for Wonder Woman (x/10):

Transform yourselves, as the Rock will be playing the Human Lightning Bolt! I highly doubt that he'll play Black Adam, though it's definitely still possible. Based on his tweets and endless hints, I feel it is the Captain he'll play. Just say the word.

Predicted Release Date: August 6, 2016

YOUR anticipation level for Shazam (x/10):

What these 3 films have in common is that they are tied to ancient legends. They each have a little bit in common with Thor. There's 3 movies that will not feature Superman or Batman as the main character that could most likely make half a billion dollars. Now, I'd like to address a common thought: 'we are getting a superhero featuring a talking raccoon and human-like tree before a Wonder Woman movie!'. DC is not Marvel. DC is definitely trying to get their superheroes to the big screen, but they are not desperately trying to get to the level of Marvel. They need to make movies they know fans will see.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think we all know Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will gather more than half a billion dollars during the Easter season of 2016. We're talking a Spring Break release. That could be huge. It will be huge.

The Super Seven [PLUS] is coming to the big screen! Get ready! It's already been confirmed.

Justice League. I'll be talking much more about it in the coming years. It's going to be epic!

Aquaman: Hey Clark, you thinking about your childhood? Yeah, you look like your thinking about your childhood. Well, I'll be over here if anyone needs me. *whispers* JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Predicted Release Date: June 23, 2017

Between now and 2018, DC can make $4 billion+ from 5 movies! That'll really help Warner Bros./DC Entertainment make more films. I'll post my dream list of the DC Superhero Films I'd want to see. They include

  • ALL-FLASH, a Wally West/The Flash solo movie
  • GREEN LANTERN CORPS with John Stewart as the main character
  • SUPERMAN: TOMORROW (Man of Steel true sequel)
  • BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADERS, where Bruce Wayne "helps" establish Batman Inc. and interacts more with his sidekicks

Wrapping up, I'm glad to share this news. The Hollywood Reporter could be making this up, but I think it's pretty likely that those four movies are coming soon. From the report of the writers for Aquaman, Nikki Finke's list, Dan Fellman's words, and Dwayne Johnson's hints, it looks like The Hollywood Reporter is accurate. They've had other announcements, such as predicting Batman v Superman Comic-Con announcement hours before and Justice League coming 2017 instead of 2018, so they aren't new to the game. So look out for Batman v Superman, Shazam, Justice League, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman in the next few years!
