Who knew Rob Pattinson was so controversial?

The actor admitted in a recent interview for his new film The Rover, about a mentally challenged traveller who's kidnapped in the outback, that Hollywood doesn't seem to want him anymore.

Given his role choices post-Twilight, Pattinson might seem like a fame-hating hipster with a penchant for looking pained.

But he claims that quite the opposite is true:

Pretty much, the jobs I did after ‘Twilight’ are just the jobs I got offered. I just happened to get outré jobs.

Since leaving the Twilight franchise, Pattinson has starred in several 'edgy' flicks, including David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis.

The next two years are jam-packed for Pattinson, with roles in thriller Hold on to Me opposite Carey Mulligan, and Tim Roth and Juliette Binoche in The Childhood of a Leader.

Let's hope the edginess doesn't get to the better of our favorite sparkletits, or there'll be less moments like this:
