The shocking passing of Robin Williams is something that will always be hard to fully come to terms with. Although he is gone, he will continue to be a constant source of inspiration. Proof of this is the outpour of art created in his memory. Through canvas, screen, or street, people are paying tribute to a man who was with us as we grew up, but helped us maintain a sense of childish wonder.

Below are some of our favorites that we think capture everything he meant to the world.

For many of us, Robin Williams has been there since the beginning.

We knew him as a genie, a nanny, a scientist, a doctor, an alien, a teacher, Peter Pan, and countless other roles.

He had the ability to transform himself into whoever you needed and find a way to connect.

He was someone who always kept us laughing and encouraged us all to maintain our spark of madness.

That’s why it is important for us to remember that the happy and touching memories we have of him will never dim nor fade.

Although he won’t be able to bring us tons of new work, that’s no reason to stop finding the creative and artistic brilliance in all that he left behind.
