To celebrate the announcement and confirmation of [Venom](movie:372411) (or the new, tentative title, "Venom Carnage" ... finally!), we here at Moviepilot have decided to round up some of our favorite fan art featuring two of the most disturbing characters within the Spiderman franchise. Scroll down for fan art that we'd love to see recreated in the movie, and why these need to come to life in the latest Spiderman spin-off on Sony's schedule! (Say that five times fast. Dang!)
The fight scenes need to be massive - and scary!
What we're seriously hoping for here are the most insane fights ever seen in a comic book film. The major challenges there would be showing off an accurate fight between two of the most vicious characters within the Spiderverse but making it easy to follow. These two classically move very, very fast!
The Stuff of Nightmares
Another big change here will be the aspect of horror, in a way. Let's face it: if you ran into either of these two in a dark alleyway, you'd flip out. I totally welcome that in comic book films -- the scare factor is few and far between, so it would be a refreshing, if terrifying turn.
Let's talk conflict.
We're also wondering what kind of conflict we'll see between the two, who both fit within the villain category when it comes to the great divide. Will it be an encounter gone wrong? Will it stay true to the comics?
Because if they do, Venom and Carnage will be horrifying!
Either way, this probably won't be a movie to bring the kids along for. Some of the bloodiest Marvel comics have Venom and Carnage's names attached to them. When I was young, even seeing the covers was a thing of nightmares sometimes!
Basically, these guys need to be completely out of control in the craziest ways!
Cletus Kasady is a terrifying murderer before AND after he's overcome by the symbiote. I'd love to see more of his crazy ulterior motives; not just a mindless, slobbering bad guy.
Bonus Piece: Carnage's Softer Side
So far, it's been rumored that Sci-fi TV Alum Alan Tudyk is slated for the role of Cletus Kasady, A.K.A. Carnage, with Finn Wittrock (Noah) in talks for the role of Eddie Brock, or (our "hero"), Venom.
The movie is also rumored to feature Emma Stone reprising her role as Gwen Stacy - but if this is true, how will she appear? For anyone that's seen The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (or read the comics) ... well, you'd know why this is a complication for the movieverse.
Either way, we're TOO excited about the inclusion of Carnage in the new film, and can't wait to see more!
