As Ant-Man begins filming today, news of three new additions to the film's cast brings joy to the film's supporters. John Slattery, who previously played an aged Howard Stark in Tony's videos on Iron Man 2, will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the same character. Due to the age of Michael Douglas, who will be playing the original [Ant-Man](movie:9048) Hank Pym, fans are already beginning to guess and hope that Pym & Stark were friends once upon a time within some kind of flashback or video in the movie. His return could also be connected to the new Ant-Man Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, having worked at Stark Industries in the comic books.

It is still uncertain who T.I., not formerly known for his acting career, and Judy Greer will be playing in the movie, but one could expect the roles to be important to the storyline after other characters deemed unimportant were cut from the movie's script. While this is completely speculation, I am currently hoping to see Greer to be announced as Dr. Erica Sondheim, who in the comics is only doctor with the abilities to save Scott Lang's daughter Cassie as well as save Darren Cross (played by Corey Stoll)'s medical conditions.

As for T.I., since there are no other prominent characters in Ant-Man's story that fit his description, I'd be willing to bet his character was created for the sake of the film. Or better yet, T.I. would make an amazing Bill Foster, the lab assistant of Henry Pym who takes on the suit to grow to enromous sizes as the superhero Goliath! Have any other ideas as to their roles? Comment below with who YOU think they'll be playing!

Ant-Man will hit theaters next summer after Avengers 2 on July 17th, 2015.
