That's right folks the picture you see before you is in fact Richard Parker, Peter's father. It is a deleted scene that you get if you purchase [The Amazing Spider-Man 2](movie:508593) on Blu-Ray.

Ok so the scene starts with Peter still mourning the death of Gwen, and he stands in front of her grave when Richard Parker comes and tells him he was alive all this time and they he hid from the world to protect him. So it was a very powerful and moving scene and the best line was when Richard looked at Peter and said the line we've never heard in the reboot until now. "With great power, comes great responsibilities." That was awesome it was an amazing scene.

But hold on. How can one person survive a plane crash? It didn't show him jumping out of the plane, instead it showed him closing his eyes, embracing his fate. So that begs the question, is it really Richard Parker?

Well this I am a huge comic book nerd I have a theory that it might be something more. Harry speaks to Mr. Fiers and tells him he wants to assemble a small team (Sinister Six). Could it be that one of the Sinister Six members be in disguise as Richard Parker and really be...

The Chameleon! Coming to the Sinister Six?
The Chameleon! Coming to the Sinister Six?

The Chameleon!

That's right, the Chameleon. We all had a feeling from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 credits that the [Sinister Six](movie:1274281) will have Green Goblin, Rhino, Doc Ock, Vulture, Kraven, and either Mysterio or Chameleon. Two deceiving villains who play with a persons emotions by pretending to be someone or something they're not towards anyone. Either way it's part of Harry's master plan.

As much as I would like to see the Mysterio over Chameleon, I have a very strong feeling that we'll see the Chameleon instead. But I ain't too upset.

And who knows, for all we know I could be wrong and Richard Parker could be alive. Let me know what you think. (Btw, the deleted scenes were very entertaining to watch.)

Is Richard Parker really alive?
