So, sure, that Deadpool movie we're all dreaming of might still be a way off - and even with awesome leaked test footage to rewatch endlessly, that particular pain isn't going to go away any time soon.

But that doesn't mean that we have to wait indefinitely for a solid dose of Deadpool awesomeness - and a whole lot more Marvel marvelous-ness to boot.

After all, comic-book artists are working around the clock to fill that aching void in our hearts left by the movie studios - and Mike Del Mundo is no exception.

So, meet some of his finest comic-book covers:

Gasp with joy, as Deadpool has terrible things happen to him!

Tremble with delight, as Iron Man looks even more awesome than he does in the movies:

And as The Hulk brings back the Renaissance SWAG:

Grin, manically, as Wolverine goes all Indiana Jones:

And surprisingly magical:

Almost militantly so:

As well as devastatingly sad:

And then restore your cheer with Elektra, as she remains as badass as usual:

Or, in fact, even more so...

...than even your dreams can muster:

Because we've said it before, and we'll say it again: Comic-book artists are awesome...

Nicely played Mr Del Mundo. Nicely played.

Now all we need is for someone to actually commission that damned [Deadpool](movie:38663) movie, and we'll be able to go back to our day to day business, uninterrupted by endless longing for Wade Wilson's insane adventures to hit the big screen.

Or something.
