Chris Pratt is definitely the Hollywood man of the moment. He plays the bad-ass Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, loveable Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation and recently voiced Emmet Brickowski in The Lego Movie. But aside from starring in some major movies and TV shows he also manages to come across as an all-round nice guy in every piece of media I read about him - not an easy feat!

So for all the Chris Pratt fans out there here are 15 times Chris showed us just how awesome he is:

------------------------------------

1. When he visited a young LEGO lover in hospital

Chris surprised 8-year-old Dylan Prunty with a visit to his hospital room on Wednesday evening. Chris brought along some Guardians merchandise and then hung out and learnt the art of LEGO from young Dylan, who is a LEGO Master Builder.

------------------------------------

2. And when he took the time to visit the hard working staff too.

Not only did Chris visit with the patients at Children's Hospital LA but also took the time to meet with some of the extremely hard working staff as well! Way to share the love with these unsung heroes.

------------------------------------

3. When he stole his GotG costume so Star-Lord can visit sick kids

Chris admitted that he stole his Star-Lord costume so that he could visit sick kids in hospital as their hero, saying that visiting the kids "would give me real meaning for this movie." This is one act of theft that I totally condone!

------------------------------------

4. When he shared the photo of him holding his first script outside the van he used to LIVE in

Sooo turns out Chris Pratt was a bit of a stoner beach bum back in the day and used to live in a legit Scooby Doo van in Hawaii! While he worked at a restaurant he waited on the table of actress Rae Dawn Chong and charmed her so much she offered him a part in her short film! In the above picture he's actually holding the script that got him out of Maui!

------------------------------------

5. When he did the ice bucket challenge

The ALS ice bucket challenge is doing amazing things to raise money and awareness for a horrible disease so it was awesome that Chris Pratt took the challenge...Wellll maybe we should thank his wife Anna Faris for really committing him to it.

------------------------------------

6. When his quick thinking saved him from DROWNING

Months before Chris left Maui for Hollywood in the early 2000s he had a brush with death! While fishing on a rock point, waves set in and surrounded him in waist-height water. The area was notorious for being shark infested but Pratt sprung into action, dropping the fishing pole and grabbing the rock to cling on to life!

-----------------------------------

7. When he surprised a whole bunch of kids

------------------------------------

8. When he predicted his own future

While filming a behind the scenes segment for Parks and Recreation in 2010, Chris pretended (or did he?!) to receive a message from Steven Spielberg about starring in Jurassic Park 4. In a twist of fate or maybe a remarkable show of psychic ability, Chris will appear as Owen in the 2015 film Jurassic World.

------------------------------------

9. When shows us all he could RAP?!

Chris is a huge fan of hip-hop, and admits that while living in his van in Maui he learnt the word to every song on the Dr. Dre album The Chronic 2001. But don't take my word for it, watch him rap 'Forgot About Dre' in the video above!

------------------------------------

10. When he coined the term 'arm titties'

So we all know that Chris got MAJORLY buff for his role as Star-Lord in Guardians. I know I've enjoyed the odd Instagram post of this progress (come on, who hasn't?!) but what I enjoyed even more than that is the fact that he called his biceps arm titties AND started a hashtag.

------------------------------------

11. When he braided an ET interns hair

Thanks to his Instagram we know Chris is quite the accomplished hair stylist but it was when he rose to the challenge to braid an ET interns hair that we saw him in action. To be honest I think he did a better job that I can...

------------------------------------

12. When he was a great dad

Chris and wife Anna welcomed their son Jack in August 2012. Jack was 9 weeks premature and remained in intensive care for one month. Chris said that he and Anna "were scared for a long time" but that Jack was a "fighter." Jack is about to turn two years old and by the look of the picture above is adored by Chris. Bonus points: try and spot Anna Faris in this photo.

------------------------------------

13. When he showed us he was an animal lover

Chris has not one but TWO pugs! He's frequently spotted out walking the dogs with his family, but not only does he own two dogs but also works with Lucy aka Champion the three legged dog in Parks and Recreation. And as all Parks and Rec fans will know, he also loves mini horses.

------------------------------------

14. When he was the adorable Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation

Andy Dwyer was only supposed to star in Season one of the long-running comedy Parks and Recreation but the character was so popular that Chris became a series regular from Season two onwards. Best decision ever! In fact the show co-creator Michael Schur has said more than once that Pratt improvised the best line in the whole series and praised him as 'a writer's dream.'

------------------------------------

15. When he showed us how much he loves his fans

Chris is always taking the time to retweet and reply to fans on Twitter. He especially loves the different types of fan art people make. Personally I think this is AWESOME! Some fans take so much time and pride in their creations and when a big star like Chris takes the time to reply and thank them for it = all worth it.

Oh Chris, please never change!
