This amazing artist adds superheroes and crime fighters to Toronto's Neighborhood Watch signs... And they're awesome.

Andrew Lamb started wheat-pasting images of fictional superheroes, crime fighters and do-gooders from his childhood on the old signs, where the other images had faded away from sun exposure. Check out these slices of slick urban art:

Thor

Asgard on guard... I like that.

------------------------------------

Yoda

When 900 years old you reach, cross the street so fast, you will not. Hmmmm?

------------------------------------

Serpico

As Frank always said, "the fight for justice against corruption is never easy." Still, look at that hard stare. Serpico's got this down.

------------------------------------

Mulder and Scully

The Watch is out there...

------------------------------------

Power Rangers

Criminals in that neighborhood are about to catch a mighty-morphing ass-whooping.

------------------------------------

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Real heroes in a half-shell. COWABUNGA!

------------------------------------

Judge Dredd

Someone started yelling at Lamb when he was putting up this image that he was in violation of the highway traffic act. I wish he'd yelled back "I AM THE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT," but the reference would probably have been lost on them...

------------------------------------

Sarah Connor

"Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The Terminator would never stop. It would never leave him..." Powerhouse Sarah Connor's also got the back-up of Arnie, so these guys have got my vote.

------------------------------------

Chief Wiggum and Ralph

If he promised to lay off the donuts, would you choo-choo-choose to have Chief Wiggum watch over you?

------------------------------------

Agent Dale Cooper

That's a damn fine cup of street art.

I just love how he takes something structured and makes it into something whimsical...

Poll

Wouldn't you feel safer if these guys patrolling your neighborhood instead of the police?
