Along with the majority of humans, I LOVE The Walking Dead on AMC! One thing I have noticed about the show is how different each season is from the last. Characters die off, while new ones get added. Some characters even come back, as ghosts after death, or as major plot points after being forgotten long ago. The setting is also always changing, too many places to count. Atlanta, the farm, the prison, Woodbury, and everywhere in-between, all the way to Terminus. But what makes me love it is how the general tone/theme of the show changes. I mean, yeah, it's always something to do about zombies. But I think each season could stand alone, on it's own. You don't have to see the previous, or even the next season, to appreciate how amazing any particular year's worth of zombie smashing, survivalist entertainment was. I can watch the first, second, or third season, knowing exactly what happens next season: Who dies, who shows up, where everyone is headed. But it doesn't matter! The series comes together beautifully, so far. Yet each season is separately amazing. On that note...

My favorite season, unquestionably, is the first season. I watched when it first came out, and I watched it again last week. When I first saw it I thought it was going to be the only season of the show, like a mini series. Boy, was I wrong! Ha. What I love about the first season is how it tells Rick's amazing story. From clueless coma patient, to pretty much leader of the group. Keeps me on the edge of my seat no matter how many times I watch.
