Gareth Edwards' Godzilla seems to have somewhat split the monster loving crowd. Some appreciated his more subtle and Jaws-esque take on the delivery of the titular King of the Monsters. Others, however, felt Godzilla himself just didn't get enough screentime.

Godzilla's Epic Battle:

It seems that Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have taken heed of these complaints and released a video of the final Godzilla battle in which all the human nuclear tom-foolery has been edited out. Why have they put their own copyright protected material online? Well, it's because the DVD and Blu-Ray is due to release on September 16th. Check out the video below, and of course, beware of spoilers:

Edwards is also onboard to deliver the sequel to Godzilla, which is currently set for a release date of June 8th, 2018. However, before he can get started with this, he's also been tasked with directing one of the Star Wars spin-off movies for Disney.
