They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but based on Kristen Stewart's latest Interview Magazine shots with Juliette Binoche, we're more than a little intrigued with this issue!
The two stars of Clouds of Sils Maria snuggled up on the front page of the mag in order to promote their latest movie, which stars Binoche as Maria Enders, a middle-aged actress who is asked to participate in a revival of the play that her a star twenty years ago. Withdrawing to the Swiss town of Sils Maria to rehearse with her assistant (Kristen Stewart), Maria has to come to terms with the fact that the role she played back in the day is now cast with a young, up-and-coming starlet (Chloe Grace Moretz).
But far from sitting pretty on the cover, inside the issue KStew opened up about scoring movie roles for herself and - somewhat arrogantly - revealed that she is in fact a magical genie and all she has to do is snap her fingers to get a role:
Everything I do, I do for myself. Blockbuster, art-house or Chanel commercial – it doesn’t matter. It could seem that after a successful movie I can allow myself anything. And you know what? I can! It’s incredible: I can do anything I fucking want. Yes, I’m in this unconscionably privileged position. And I’m not ashamed.
The actress continued:
I never have to beg for a role, I can get any role with a snap of my fingers, and I don’t have to fight and struggle on my way up, like some other actors.
Woah there, Kristen. A little modesty never hurt...
Should we take that to mean Kristen didn't want roles during 2013, when she doesn't have any credits to her name? If you ask me, it's a little bit silly for the star to act as if her cheating scandal with Rupes and general Twilight backlash didn't have any effect on what kinds of roles were available to her...
That said, the interview was translated a few times and perhaps she wasn't bragging quite so much in real life... What d'you think?
Has Kristen Stewart well and truly earned our disdain?
