As November fast approaches, Disney is speeding up the release of teasers for it's latest animated superhero movie; Big Hero 6.
The newest release is a short but sweet tv ad featuring (you guessed it) Hiro and Baymax.
It's only 30 seconds long (and a chunk of that is Baymax telling you to subscribe) but it's adorable.
It continues to play up the relationship between these two title characters - Baymax as a bumbling foil to Hiro's great plans, all the while being cuter than a box of puppies. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be stealing hearts all winter.
Interestingly, it is the post-spot moment where Baymax talks about how subscribing can "increase your positive demeanor and desire to share with close friends" that reminds us of Baymax's primary function in this take on the comic books. As a medical bot, the entire story will have a message about finding ways to be happy - Baymax may be his friend, but he is also looking out for his serotonin levels at all times. It's a twist that I am really excited to see played out.
That said, I was a little disappointed not to see any new footage from the movie itself, or any of the other characters. There are six of them, after all, but up until now all we have seen are their posters and a momentary glimpse in the official trailer.
While I respect that Disney doesn't want to give it all away before it is released (because there is little more frustrating than seeing all the best bits of a movie before it's actually out), can I please get even a little Honey Lemon? Just a line, or a shot of that Power Purse in action?
We've got a couple months left, and I'm crossing my fingers that the next teaser gives us just a little bit more...
