What kind of Batman will Ben Affleck be in Zack Snyder's Batman vs Superman? Well, a new scene description from the Man of Steel/Batman mash-up has hinted at what Bruce Wayne likes to get up to in his free time.
BEWARE POTENTIAL SPOILERS BELOW AND SCENES OF EXTREME PHYSICAL VIOLENCE!
So, according to Batman-News, Batfleck likes nothing more than heading down to his local underground MMA fight club to partake in some illegal, unlicensed blood sports. Apparently, according to sources, a scene was shot last week in Detroit's Masonic Temple which was transformed into a fighting ring a la Fight Club. Batman-News explained:
The Masonic Temple is a reception hall for weddings, parties, banquets, etc. and they transformed a large kitchen into an underground MMA fighting arena and bar. Kind of like in the movie Fight Club. People from all types of backgrounds were down there betting on which fighter would win. And in walks our hero…
Bruce Wayne shows up to bet, which makes people wonder “what’s this billionaire doing here?”. Wayne replies to that by saying “I’m kind of a night person” and ends up having a discussion with someone at the bar.
Unfortunately, we do not know if Bruce will actually get involved in some MMA fighting, although I'd be surprised if this scene didn't act as a little introductory action moment for Bruce Wayne.
If he does strip off and start punching dudes, does that mean his fighting style is inspired by mixed martial arts? To see what that looks like, he's some brutal GIFs of various beefy guys knocking each other out to the sound of a blood-thirsty baying crowd. Remember this is all consensual. Check it out below:
Ah yes, the old high-kick to the face followed by a succession of rapid punches to the chin. Textbook.
But why kick when you can just whale your opponent in the face with a single punch and then smack him on the floor like a true gentleman.
Apparently the move expertly exhibited below is affectionately known as the 'rape hold'. Ahh, the lofty honor of sporting competition!
But there is a more technical side to all this blind violence. For example the 'sweeping leg lock'.
And just for good measure, here's one more GIF of someone getting their actual consciousness kicked out of their head.
Do you think we'll see Bruce Wayne loosening his tie and similarly ruining some tough guys pretty face?
Would you be happy to see Batman fight with an MMA style?
