According to Billboard.com The reunited Ramones Estates plan a big comeback in several forms, with projects that include: a documentary about the band's early life, a theatrical play, several books, but perhaps the one that's raising most eyebrows: a film produced/directed by the legendary Martin Scorsese.

The release of all these projects, will begin with the documentary, loaded with never before seen footage, that is aimed to be released in 2016, which would line up with the 40th anniversary of the band's first album release, according to Jeff Jampol, who manages the band's estate.

So far nothing else has been mentioned about the film, other than long time Music-phile, Martin Scorsese is attached at some capacity, perhaps solely as producer, but I'm putting my money on Producer/Director. But what shape and form the film will take (True Story/Musical/Docu-Drama/Events Inspired by/Bio-pic) only time will tell. And with Scorsese still attached to producing/directing a Frank Sinatra Bio-Pic as well, it seems like we'll have to wait a few more years before we get to see a Scorsese directed Ramones story.
