In 1996, we got Space Jam, a beautifully weird and bizarre movie that really shouldn't have made sense on a financial/investor level of movie making, ("Michael Jordan, Newman from Seinfeld and Bill Murray have to fight aliens alongside Bugs and Daffy in order to save Patrick Ewing's career") but it came out and it was perfect! (In my opinion).

Than Nine years later we had the shockingly underwhelming, psedo-sequel(?), Looney Tunes: Back in Action, which despite having a better cast, (Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman, Steve Martin) couldn't really hold on to a decent through line both in story, comedy and plot.

Can magic strike again a third time? Well, it looks promising.
According to Slashfilm.com a new Looney Tunes/Live Action crossover film is in the works, with the current working title ACME (You know the fictional corporation famous for failing all of Wile E. Coyote's Plans?) And if Steve Carell being attached doesn't already have you excited than consider this: X-Men First Class writers, Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are penning the screenplay.

Strangely enough, THR reports that the film will not directly involve all of the familiar Looney Tunes Characters as it's being described as a kind of Spin-Off. But we're all still in the early stages of things so who knows. I mean how can you make a Looney Tunes movie WITHOUT Bugs, Right?
