As a big Middle-Earth fan boy, I am seriously looking forward and already considering this movie to be one of the best of the year when we are still a weather season away from it! But when December finally arrives, what will we be expecting from this movie?

The ending of one chapter. The beginning of the next.

Many people will consider this to be a prequel to the fascinating LotR trilogy, and I believe that it will be treated as such near the end of this movie. From the tone from the trailer, we know that this will certainly be the end of a large chapter in the Middle-Earth saga. We can expect this movie to perfectly lead into the Fellowship of the Ring more or less. The movie is just over 2 hours and 30 minutes long, so they are going to use the last 15 inutes to 30 minutes to try and set up the severe importance of The Ring!

An enormous finale!

As this will undoubtedly be the last Middle-Earth film under Peter Jackson (Before it inevitably gets rebooted in 15-20 years), Jackson will be wanting a dramatic send off, and the finale of the Hobbit story is not a bad place to do it at all.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies: A Box Office Hit?

This movie is not so popular in the U.S (for some terrible reason) but worldwide it can meet the $900 Million - $1.1 Billion target, but given it's the finale, it should join the $1 billion club. Hopefully it will overtake Transformers 4 in the worldwide box office!

A breathtakingly large battle!

It's called 'The Battle of the Five Armies' for a reason! Eagles, men, goblins, elves and dwarfs will all be in this battle! Considering this is Peter Jackson, the man who did the Battle of Helms Deep and the Battle of Minas Tirith to perfection. We have no worry about the Battle of the Five Arming being in the same league of epic-ness. Plus if you have read the books, you would know that we will not be short of drama!

What do you think we can expect from [The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies](movie:512312) trailer?
