I can't WAIT for Season 7 of Sons of Anarchy. It's like Shakespeare on motorbikes - what's not to love?!

Season 6 had some pretty full-on events, so here's my Top 5 shocks from Sons of Anarchy Season 6 - and what they mean for Season 7.

5. Torture Porn Comes to Charming

Tig's hairdressing business was a little unusual.
Tig's hairdressing business was a little unusual.

OK, so the moment you saw a bath full of piss, you knew Tig was gonna drown some scumbag in it. The Iranians Torture Porn business may have been swiftly and bloodily run outta town by SAMCRO, but it was horrible to see what they did to Lila.

What it means for SOA Season 7: Jax left the leader alive, so we may not have seen the last of the Iranians.

4. The School Shooting

Moments before the Charming school shooting.
Moments before the Charming school shooting.

The school shooting was shocking not just for the very young age of the perpetrator, but for the closeness of the storyline to real life school shootings in America. It also added an uncomfortable layer to SAMCRO - these are characters we've grown to love, but they unwittingly supplied the weapon that killed many children.

What it means for SOA Season 7: Kurt Sutter has shown that there's no topic off-limits for Sons of Anarchy, however devastating and controversial.

3. Goodbye Galen

Galen: way less annoying when dead.
Galen: way less annoying when dead.

From the moment the Irish Kings blew up the SAMCRO clubhouse, you knew that Jax was going to exact revenge. However, I thought it was a clever move to kill off smug, three-steps-ahead Galen before his men - and quite unexpected in its bloody execution.

What it means for SOA Season 7: The Sons might have bitten off more than they can handle with the Irish Kings...the shift of power has sent gangland into a bloody turf war, and there's no turning back...

-------------------------------------------

2. Clay's Last Stand

Jax and SAMCRO make the choice to frame Clay for the murder of the Irish, and Clay takes it like a true Man of Mayhem. His death was moving because it was so honorable, and shocking because it happened, like, 3 seconds after they killed Galen!

What it means for SOA Season 7: Clay's death really signals the end of the old SAMCRO order - but is Jax going to become the man he hated as much as he respected?

1. 'Mother's Work'

You see that carving fork? Yeah....
You see that carving fork? Yeah....

Wow. Gemma finally went there. Crazed by the idea of losing contact with her grandsons and thinking the club had been betrayed, Gemma not only killed Tara, but stabbed her in the head with a carving fork. The two women had been in a long stalemate - no-one was ever going to back down - so really, one of them had to die. And Gemma is tougher...and dirtier...

What it means for SOA Season 7: Tara's death is going to smash Jax apart. The last moment of Season 6 was the purest agony on Jax's face as he cradled his dead wife - and Jax's pain is going to turn to red hot anger...SOON.
