With the rumor of Steve Rogers forming an Avengers team by the end of Age of Ultron, it got me thinking, well, could it be the New Avengers, the Secret Avengers or could it be something different?

Da Rules:

1) There may or may not be profanity within this article. You have been warned.

2) My theories are gonna be as logical as possible containing all rumors, speculations & wants from Marvel crew & fan alike.

3) I have 5 theories. Sorry. Let's start with #1 & go down to #5. I'm starting with most likely to "least" likely.

Theory #1:

The Defenders. I feel that if this rumor happens to be true, Steve shouldn't just instantly have a team. I think he should study the possible recruits for the team. Just putting it out there. Now, the reason the Defenders are #1 on list of teams is mainly because we know we're getting this. But, if we know anything about these characters is that they wouldn't just team up outta nowhere unless someone brings them together. If I heard the rumor right, the team would be filled with Avenger worthy members. The rumor, correct me if I'm wrong, did not state that the team would have Avengers within the teams title.

Theory #2:

The Secret Avengers. This theory has been the most used theory I have seen since the rumor came out. Like I've said in Theory #1, Cap shouldn't instantly have a team. I did, however, make a team for this theory. It is only 6 characters to start off the team. Some are likable choices, others are not.

Falcon. Not too hard to believe, is it? Sam deserves to be on a team. So, why not be on a team that is practically a black-ops team?

Bucky from Captain America 2
Bucky from Captain America 2

Winter Soldier. How I would do it, have Steve recruit Sam & Bucky during Cap 3. We do know Bucky becomes a hero in the comics, why not in the movies? I know most of us would rather have Bucky in the Avengers, me too, but I'm not saying he never will become an Avenger.

Team Member #3 & #4

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch
Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch

Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch. If my memory is still as good as my bragging, I do believe sometime during this past year, Kevin Feige (correct me if I'm wrong) said, & I'm paraphrasing, that if Avengers: Age Of Ultron is successful enough, that it might generate spin-offs. I'll talk about that more in my next article. Just like Bucky, I've heard a lot of people want these 2 on the Avengers. Again, I'm not saying they won't be.

These next 2 are highly unlikely because fans are too damn powerful sometimes.

Black Panther
Black Panther

[Black Panther](movie:9047). I told you it would be highly unlikely. I think the Avengers should stay as small as possible for Avengers 3 cause I'm a firm believer of the Avengers/Guardians team-up in A3. I know T'Challa has never been an official SA member but that shouldn't stop Marvel.

Team Member #6

Carol Danvers
Carol Danvers

Captain/Ms. Marvel. Carol Danvers has been a part of SA so, why not?

Theory #3:

The New Avengers. If this theory happens, it should come in affect during Phase 4. That's all I really have to say on this theory.

Theory #4:

Young Avengers
Young Avengers

The Young Avengers. With confirmation of Cassie Lang in [Ant-Man](movie:9048), the probability of YA isn't that far off now. Like the Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch spin-off thing, I'll talk more about this in another article. I know having Cap joining the team is nowhere near the comic origin. I get it. I'll talk about it later.

Theory #5

The Thunderbolts. Marvel Studios' [Sinister Six](movie:1274281)/Suicide Squad. We have learned that director James Gunn is interested in making a Thunderbolts movie. And assuming, like the dipshit I am, Marvel might take up Gunn's interest as an actual movie after the [Guardians of the Galaxy](movie:424073) success throughout August. Personally, if a guy/gal like James Gunn turned a relatively unknown comic, even to comic book readers, into the success that the Guardians generated so far, I would give them another comic to do. The only question is what villains would be brought in. Assuming Marvel would make Cap recruit Gen. Ross, we have to assume Marvel would pick villains that have already been introduced; Abomination, Batroc The Leaper, Blizzard, Justin Hammer.

That's all I really have to say about my theories. I know I have probably pissed off some of you, and I am sorry. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Do you think the 'Star-Spangled Man With A Plan' might create a "back-up" Avengers team?

Which theory do you want more?
