Fantastic Fest, a genre film festival that is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, has announced that Dan Gilroy's [Nightcrawler](movie:938302) will close out the week-long festival in throwback noir style! The Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle about a crime scene reporter who gets a little too involved with his chosen medium will premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival before releasing stateside on Halloween.

Fantastic Fest will also feature a selection of independent horror films from a plethora of countries across the globe, including the much anticipated Dead Snow sequel, Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead. For a full list of the films appearing at Fantastic Fest, you can visit The Wrap! Fantastic Fest will take place in Austin, TX, beginning September 18th and ending on the 25th.

In the meantime, check out the trailer for Nightcrawler, featuring a very different Jake Gyllenhaal then we've gotten in recent years... certainly one that we haven't seen much from since Donnie Darko. Frankly, I always find him a little creepy, but that's just me.

Are you interested in Nightcrawler? Does this particularly movie look more scary or creepy? Will you be at Fantastic Fest this year? Let me know in the comments!
