Naked photos of Jennifer Lawrence have been leaked on the internet.
An anonymous hacker has posted naked photos of Jennifer Lawrence - and a number of other female celebrities (including Kirsten Dunst, Mary Winstead and Ariana Grande) - on the 4chan website.
Jennifer Lawrence's reps have apparently confirmed that the photos are genuine in a statement to TMZ:
This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.
There is nothing shocking about a naked photo taken by consenting adults behind closed doors. What is shocking is stealing private, intimate images and making them public.
First rule of not being a creep: you don't look at a naked person unless they want you to.
Another actress affected, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, tweeted this response to the leaked nudes:
Famous people are still people. Imagine if this happened to you, or your sister, or your daughter, or your mom.
I have not included the source of these photos because it would be disrespectful to Jennifer Lawrence and other victims. Of course, you can Google them, but that would be a really creepy thing to do.
Looking at these pictures is no better than being a Peeping Tom. Be better than that.
