This is pure speculation. There is nothing official on this matter as it could easily be refuted come May of 2015. In any case, it has been reported that Captain America may have a future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While speculation of Steve Rogers's demise has been suggested, there is now a rumor going around that Steve Rogers will be forming his own team after the events of [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035). So let's just say this rumor is true and Captain America does form his own team of Avengers. The question is who would be assembled? There are plenty of characters to choose, both from Marvel Cinematic Universe and from the comics. So here are seven characters who could be a part of Captain America's supposed team.

Ms. Marvel aka Captain Marvel

Ms Marvel

To start things is a name that was thrown into the report: Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers was a pilot in the air force until she came across the Kree hero Captain Marvel. After she was affected cosmic radiation, Carol gained superpowers and became the heroine known as Ms.Marvel. Over the years, Carol has gone under other names such as Binary and Warbird and recently, Carol took up the mantle of Captain Marvel.

Ms Marvel has been a major suggestion to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from the recent rumors, fans have wanted to see a film version of Ms.Marvel even more then the character she based off of. So could Carol join this new group of Avengers? It would be great to see Ms.Marvel on the big screen, and Carol joining Captain America would be a great way to introduce hero to a general audience. The only concern is that how do you explain Ms. Marvel. The origin of her powers may not be hard to explain, but what could be a complication is the first Captain Marvel. Would movie drop the character all together or establish that Carol is the second Captain Marvel? It could be tricky, but not impossible. Either way, introducing Carol Danvers in a Avenger film could prove to be beneficial. It could be a good to introduce the character and see just how Captain Marvel fairs on the big screen.

Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch

This is cheating seeing that this spot feature two characters. However it does make sense as the twins will likely be staying together throughout the MCU. As moviegoers know, appearing in Age of Ultron is none other then Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The *cough Mutant cough* duo will be playing a major role in next year's film as many sources have stated that the two will be antagonizing the Avengers. However, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's time on the dark side won't be long. So if the two survive the events of Age of Ultron, what should be done with them? How about joining the Avengers; more particularly this new group of Avengers? Seeing Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch join Captain America's Avengers would not be too far off. The two could either be used as established characters or new blood. Whether or not these siblings join this speculated team remains to be seen, but rest assure we will be seeing more of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the near future.

Vision

Another character that been confirmed to appear in Age of Ultron is none other then the android Vision. Vision plays a big role in the character of Ultron as the robotic villain created this Avengers. Seeing that Ultron's origins will be different in the upcoming film, there is a good chance that Vision's back-story will also have a few changes to it. However, what may not change is Vision becoming an Avenger. Much like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Vision could benefit in joining the new ranks of Avengers. It could be a good way to have the character stand out and it may also benefit Vision by connecting with certain characters. Personally, whether we see Vision with new Avengers or the old guard may be not be important. I just want to see Vision.

Falcon

Falcon

Falcon becoming an Avenger! This may be a no brainer. For starters, Falcon does join the roster of Avengers in the comics, so him doing the same thing in the movies would not be shocking. The other deciding factor is the fact that this team would be put together by Captain America. From seeing The Winter Soldier, it was clear that Sam Wilson was going to be with Capt through thick and thin. So seeing Falcon sign up with the Avengers would not be shocking. Though, it's a little shocking that Falcon won't be making an appearance in Age of Ultron.

War Machine

Another great addition to this team would be Tony Stark's best friend: James Rhodes aka War Machine. Not only could War Machine bring another soldier aspect to team, but he could be this group's very own Iron Man. While Rhodes does not have the brain power of Tony Stark, he does make up for that in arsenal. Seeing War Machine join this team may not be too far fetched. The character is scheduled to make an appearance in the avengers Age of Ultron. Whether or not Rhodes will see any action is up in the air, but his involvement in the 2015 blockbuster could be a great way to get Rhodes a part of the bigger picture.

Hawkeye

Hawkeye is already an Avenger, but what if the archer decided to join this new team? Could this be possible? Signs are pointing to yes. The latest news on Captain America 3 suggest that [Hawkeye](movie:1070822) may be making an appearance in the film. Maybe his role will deal with this new team of Avengers. That is if he is in the film and if this team actually comes into fruition. If any of this true, then Hawkeye could benefit being a part of this new team. It could give the character new direction and keep Clint Barton refreshing. The direction for Hawkeye is up in the air; though it is looking like the character will be surviving the next Avengers film.

Black Panther

This is a wild card and highly unlikely, but introducing Black Panther in this group be a good move. Many have waited for a movie on the King of Wakanda for quite sometime now. It seems that Black Panther's involvement is not a matter of if but a matter of when. A great way to introduce T'Challa in the MCU is helping Captain America repair his vibranium shield. According to details from Comic-Con, it seems that Captain America's shield will be damaged in Age of Ultron. If the shield is not repaired by the film's end, then perhaps Wakanda will be introduced and [Black Panther](movie:9047) along with it. What Black Panther could be bring to this team is a new face to the MCU. Like Ms.Marvel, having Black Panther on the team first could be a great way to introduce the character to moviegoers. If he is able to get viewers' attention, then that could work as a segway to get audiences to see a Black Panther movie. Any means of introducing Black Panther is a good thing.

Any of these character could make additions to a new group of Avengers. Then again, as it has already been noted, this is all speculation. For all we know, Marvel Studios may not be planning another Avengers group anytime soon; let alone having Captain America leading the team. Hopefully, we'll have some idea of this matter next summer when [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035) hits theaters.
