Great news! Yet another Entertainment Weekly article has given us an insight into Season 5 of The Walking Dead and this time we get to hear from Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan, the actors behind our favorite zombie killing couple, Maggie and Glenn!
After the emotional journey we went on with Maggie and Glenn in the second half of Season 4 before they were finally reunited (and promptly jailed) the two were asked the big question: Are Glenn and Maggie better off being safe but separate, or trapped but together?
Well, I think you'll be pleased to hear that Lauren and Steven both had the same response: Glenn and Maggie are better of together, but trapped. Here's what Lauren had to say about it:
Even if it’s the most perilous situation you know that they’ll find a way out of it — or at least you hope that they’ll find a way out of it. They spent a lot of time trying to find each last year — it’s like, no more!
Amen sister! We hear you on that one, I don't know if my heart could take any more horribly depressed Maggie desperately trying to search for Glenn.
Steven Yeun took a more sentimental view about why Maggie and Glenn being together matters so much in this post-zombie apocalypse world:
I think the preference is to be together regardless of whether the circumstances are difficult...At the least, you’re with the person that matters the most to you in this world. At this point, what your world has become...Your world is who your with. The world is the people that you love. If it’s not with them, the what’s the point of continuing on?
Aw Steven, you big softy! However, unfortunately for us we'll have to to see if Maggie and Glenn being reunited will truly help them survive the horrors of Terminus.
Season 5 of The Walking Dead premieres on Sunday, October 12th.
Do you think Maggie and Glenn are better off together and trapped or separate and safe?
