Fair warning, what you're about to see may make you want to redesign everything you own to look more like it.

After all, there's beautiful Star Wars art, and then there's this:

Artist Filipe Carvalho has set out to create a series of stunning images based on the original Star Wars trilogy, and - from the looks of these images - has somehow managed to condense them down into pure, simple iconic images.

As he puts it:

"Obviously, I’m a Star Wars fan, so I wanted to pay a tribute to something I really love. Being a copywriter, the Star Wars’ universe that I was introduced to in my childhood has inspired me to create great and passionate stories that have the potential to capture the public’s eye and heart.
But, it’s one thing to have the Star Wars saga as an inspiration and another to create a visual based on the story.
Flat Design, with its simple visual approach, enabled the non-professional-art-director-me to produce some illustration work, so, this was my chance to give something back to the saga. I looked up online and apparently there isn’t any set of flat design/long shadow design Star Wars Icons.
And this is how I ended up putting my heart and soul to this project. Hope you like it."

Unsurprisingly, we here at Moviepilot love it. But, then again, we're suckers for all sorts of Awesome Fan Creations. How about you guys?

What do you reckon? Awesome fan art, or a bit weird?
