Sometimes the bad guy isn't Dr. Doom or the Red Skull. Sometimes the bad guy is the neighborhood bully...

Marvel Entertainment is joining forces with STOMP Out Bullying to promote a series of covers in commemoration of National Bullying Prevention Month.

In October, Marvel will release a series of variant covers on some of its most popular titles, displaying the heroes preventing acts of bullying, protecting victims, or consoling them, in an effort to raise awareness of bullying. Take a look:

*Holds out variant covers, then lifts them up out of your reach when you try to grab them.*

Only kidding. Here you go:

Captain America

You know the kids today, with their dog tags and neon pink polo shirts. Cap's totally just like "F*cking try it kid. Try it."

---------------------------------

Gamora

Just look at how friendly her smile looks as she leans over! Got me right in the gut...

---------------------------------

Hulk

WHAT BULLY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD PICK ON A KID WHO'S BUDDIES WITH THE INCREDIBLE HULK? Don't make Hulk angry. You won’t like him when he's angry.

---------------------------------

Groot and Rocket Raccoon

I love this one because it just feels so natural. I'm going to have to get it framed for m̶y̶ ̶b̶e̶d̶r̶o̶o̶m̶ my 11-year-old nephew's bedroom.

---------------------------------

Star-Lord

Incredible. I'm guessing the "Who?" thing is going to be a thing in all of his movies now.

But, poor Spidey! Classic Parker luck, get bullied your whole life and get a no anti-bullying variant cover.

Head over to StompOutBullying.org to take advantage of their free anti-bullying resources.

Poll

Which superhero would you most like to see smashing bullies?
