One of the reasons I love Sons of Anarchy so much is the bond the cast have with their characters. Charlie Hunnam is especially close to his character, Jackson Teller.
Speaking to Sioux City Journal, Hunnam explains that he relates to Jax because he's also from an outlaw family...
I love the guy. I always kind of felt I knew him from the very beginning. I grew up with a lot of outlaws. My father and all of his pals were all guys who operated on the other side of the law. I felt a very close connection to Jax right from the beginning. I'm going to miss him terribly.
Let's hope 'miss him terribly' just means the end of the series, not the end of Jax! Anything could happen in Season 7...
Hunnam is so into the outlaw brotherhood that he even holds to the SAMCRO code:
I've never called the police and I never will...for any reason. If I have a problem, I'm going to handle it myself. Most people would say that that was kind of outlaw. But that was just the way I was raised. I don't break the law or do anything illegal. I just grew up being told that men should stand on their own two feet.
We're lucky to have a guy like Charlie Hunnam play Jax - the young kid turned leader, the good guy who has to do bad things - Jax is the heart and soul of Sons of Anarchy.
