For many of us, the post-Guardians of the Galaxy, still over a year from Star Wars Episode VII doldrums are upon us. There's not enough joyous sci-fi to go around - and re-watching Rocket Raccoon, Groot and the gang can only keep us satisfied for so long.

Which makes it all the more fantastic that Bungie, the creators of Halo, have released a new trailer for the upcoming game Destiny - one practically overflowing with back-and-forth verbal sparring, quips, gags, neat references to classic movies - and a brilliantly light touch. You can check it out below:

The only problems?

Well, a) it's a game and not a movie, meaning we aren't going to get to see two hours straight of this stuff any time soon.

And b) everyone who's played the game so far has suggested that very little of the comedy and light-heartedness from the trailer are anywhere to be found in-game.

Which is...disheartening, to say the least. Especially as Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage is in it.

Either way, Destiny is set for release September 9, 2014.
