It's that time of year again - where successful applicants head off to college, start a new chapter in their lives, and - with a little luck - become powerful wizards and learn how to fight He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

No, wait, that's just in the Harry Potter universe.

Though someone should probably tell that to Twitter user QuantumPirate, who recently posted this rejection letter:

Which, at first glance, seems to be a pretty awesome response on the part of UCAS (the British organization that facilitates college admissions), until you realize two things.

Firstly, that it's a fake:

Though that didn't stop the actual head of UCAS from taking credit for it:

And secondly, that Hogwarts was totally a school, and not a university.

Which means this whole process was a complete waste of all of our time!

(Or really, really funny. Take your pick)

Sadly, we may not actually be able to go to Hogwarts, but we can at least read about loads of Harry Potter related stuff here.
