Leave it to the Kiwis to come up with a concept so deliciously oddball! Written and directed by Jermaine Clement and Taika Waititi of Flight of the Conchords fame, What We Do In the Shadows has officially gotten picked up for distribution at the Toronto International Film Festival.

So you're saying... it's hilarious?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, this quirky vampire mockumentary (if anyone knows of ANOTHER vampire mockumentary, please let me know) has been acquired for U.S. theatrical distribution by Unison Films, while The Orchard will take of the film on DVD, broadcast, and digital platforms. Based on FotC love, there is no question that interest in this odd little horror/comedy curio will be high!

That's a motley vampire crew!

The premise of What We Do In the Shadows is actually pretty original: a group of vampires, each representing a different pop culture version of a blood-sucker, all live together as roommates and have to work together to navigate 21st century life. I have to admit: I'm not big on vampire OR Jermaine Clement, but I am actually kind of excited to see this film.

Since Funny or Die is handling the marketing for this spoof, except a MASSIVE social media blitz prior to What We Do in the Shadow's release!
