A guy just solved the Jack the Ripper murders...126 years later!

As a Real Life Horror fanatic, this is unbelievable news to me. I'm gonna break this incredible discovery down, as I can't quite get my head around it...

After watching From Hell, UK businessman Russel Edwards, 48, became fascinated with Jack the Ripper.

Edwards bought a shawl found next to Ripper victim Catherine Eddowes at auction, The Daily Mail reports.

Edwards got Dr Jari Louhelainen to help him analyse the evidence.

Edwards marks the part of the shawl giving DNA.

Louhelainen, a world expert in genetic evidence, used mitochondrial DNA testing from living relatives of the victim and the killer to prove the authenticity of blood and semen stains on the shawl.

DNA proves Aaron Kosminski, a Polish barber, was Jack the Ripper!

Kosminski was interviewed by police in the 1880's but there was not enough evidence to hold him. He died of gangrene, aged 53, in London's Leavesden Asylum.

AMAZING! One random guy solved the greatest unsolved case ever!

Modest Edwards said, 'I was just another armchair detective, interested enough to conduct my own extensive research after watching the Johnny Depp film From Hell in 2001.'

I guess the movies really can alter the course of real life...What do you guys think about this incredible discovery?
