Sean Harris might not be a familiar name to most, but that may change if the rumours that he's in talks to play the big bad villain of Mission: Impossible 5 come to fruition.

Previously, you may have seen Harris as Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis in 24 Hour Party People, Moors murderer Ian Brady in See No Evil, or really loving rocks as Fifield in Prometheus:

He loves rocks.
He loves rocks.

The 48 year-old actor is seasoned in the British drama scene, but this would most certainly be his biggest role to date if he's cast.

Mission: Impossible 5 will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie and see Tom Cruise return as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt - making this their fourth collaboration after Valkyrie, Jack Reacher and Edge of Tomorrow.

The cast of the fifth instalment in the franchise is shaping up to feature some big hitters: Simon Pegg will return as Benji, while Jeremy Renner also reprises his role as William Brandt. Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames and Alec Baldwin also star.

Mission: Impossible 5 is released Christmas Day 2015.
