With so many superhero movies from both Marvel and DC we have had many successes and upsets. Some of our favorite heroes have even gotten more than one movie to call their own. I think it is time we got some new superheroes up on the big screen.
5. Marvel's Civil War
If you have played Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 2 video game then you know how epic this story line is. Director Furry goes missing which leaves Maria Hill in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. and she is enforcing the Superhero Registration Act which requires all superheroes to register their secret identity with S.H.I.E.L.D. Iron Man is on board with this but Captain America is. Heroes have to choose sides and decide what is most important to them. With the right directing and source material this could be a great movie.
Aside from 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine version of Deadpool (which was completely inaccurate and bad) we have not seen the merc with a mouth on the big screen. It wasn't entirely Ryan Reynolds fault they just ruined the character by taking his freaking mouth away. What good is the merc with a mouth if he can't talk? Deadpool has always been a fan favorite in the Marvel universe for years. His unfiltered humor and unbeatable sarcasm is hilarious and makes him stand out. He could also stray into other parts of the Marvel universe such as the X-Men or Spiderman. If there is a [Deadpool](movie:38663) movie made I would cast either Ryan Reynolds, because he still could pull of the humor it takes to be Deadpool, or Sean Williams Scott for similar reasons.
3. X-Men Origins: Nightcrawler
This is another character that all superhero fans have wanted to see more of. Marvel had the right idea starting with X-Men Origins but they stopped after the upset of Wolverine. We need to start this up again but have a better script and better effects. An origin story about Nightcrawler AKA Kurt Wagner would be amazing. For those who don't know Nightcrawler is the son of Mystique and Azazel, the red teleporter from X-Men First Class. Looking at the childhood of Nightcrawler and seeing him find his way to the X-Men would make for a great movie. If this does happen I wouldn't mind seeing Alan Cumming reprise his role. If someone new is casted as the blue X-Men I would suggest Jared Leto or Anton Yelchin.
2. Teen Titans
Teen Titans Go!!! With the success of Cartoon Networks Teen Titans TV show and Young Justice a big screen adaptation of the two combined would be amazing. The original Teen Titans consisted of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Speedy and Wonder Girl. 2005's version of the kid heroes dropped the original team except for Robin and added Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire. For a live action film it would be hard to choose between the two teams. Do you go for the original team or do you stick with the ones everyone knows? Or do you add them together? Adding them all together could go either way because of the number of members. I personally would like to see a mix of both but I would be happy any way it goes.
1. Heroes for Hire
Finally we get to the one superhero movie I have wanted for a long time. Iron Fist and [Luke Cage](movie:586393) (AKA Power Man) have been two heroes that have gotten little attention. These two don't help people because they want to, but because it is their source of income. They don't help people just because they make money but that is the main reason behind the creation of Heroes for Hire, hinted in the name. These two aren't the only ones who are in Heroes for Hire but they are the most popular of all. I personally wanted to make number one Iron Fist only but I think that the friendship between the two and seeing they meet and create Heroes for Hire would be better than a lone origin story. If this was to happen, I would be ecstatic, I would cast Iron Fist as Garret Hedlund and Luke Cage as Terry Crews.
There you have it my top 5 superhero movies that I want to see on the big screen. Let me know if you agree or if you think I am way off. Also, let me know what superhero movies you want to see on the big screen. As always, take it easy.
