It is only natural that Demetrius Angelo is spearheading the 2014 Urban Action Showcase and Expo on November 8 at the NYC Hilton Midtown and the AMC Theaters in Times Square.

The event has generated a lot of chatter in a short period of time, with everything from a world exclusive, first Extended Trailer on the buzz-heavy upcoming "The Martial Arts Kid" film, which is co-headlined by martial arts/action-movie legends Don "The Dragon" Wilson and Cynthia Rothrock , to a 30th Anniversary celebration of "The Last Dragon", with Taimak and other stars from both films scheduled to appear.

The big "gets" and high-profile of the event has a lot to do with Director/Actor Fight Choreographer/Model Demetrius Angelo.

Angelo is a 30-plus year veteran of the Martial Arts and Fitness industry and an Independent Film fighter/ fight choreographer for more than 20 years. His passion for the Martial Arts and the Action Film genre, along with observing the void of ethnic action heroes in films and other media are what inspired the start of his film making career in the late 1990's.

Angelo started his modeling and acting career in 1988 and has donned over seven romance novel covers, as well as various calendars and posters. He has done commercials, television and has a few independent films under his belt.

These include 2011's "3 X Harder: My Man's and 'Em" and 2012's "S.E.A.L.S Domestic Warfare". According to his IMDB page, Angelo was an actor and director on both projects.

The Martial Arts and Action Film genres are Angelo's passion. He lends his expertise often as a Fight Choreographer for Independent Films.

Through the love and joy of the craft, Angelo has developed an exciting new class to help actors prepare for the physical and mental challenges of this era of Action Film and Television. In the tradition of the Chinese Opera Schools, Action Scene Combat is changing the lives of the new breed of Action Actors for the twenty first century by giving them the foundational skills of the trade.

Angelo continues to avail himself as a Fight Choreographer for film and television.
