Apparently, Amy Dunne is just like any other modern housewife... I am a total sucker for good viral marketing campaigns, ever since Cloverfield made an art out of creeping people out on Youtube. But I have to say, this new move from the marketing people behind David Fincher's Gone Girl is a total stroke of viral genius. And if you've read Gillian Flynn's book, you can discover why in about one minute of clicking...

If you can't wait until the film's October 3 release to start deciphering the clues of Amy Dunne's disappearance, you can now do so on her very own Pinterest page. At first glance, it seems like the generic, upper-middle class pin board of any beige midwestern housewife. But when you look closer, you start to notice that, much like Amy and Nick's marriage, nothing is what it seems. I won't give anything away (because like the book, I'm sure the devil is in the details with the film), but let's just say the board titled "Writer's Block" features little gems like this:
